KV Shoes was established in 1978, but was know as Killarney Vales shoes back then as it was located in the suburb of Killarney Vale on the NSW Central Coast. A small family owned business catering to the local footwear needs of the area.
After the success of the initial store a second store was open in Toukley. Some years later and due to the growing area Killarney Vales Shoes relocated to a larger shopping centre at Bateau Bay. The name was then abbreviated to “KV Shoes”. In 2004 a third shop was opened at Morisset in the Lake Macquarie area to cater for the northern end of the Central Coast region.
To focus on more personalised and unique range, it was decided to down-size by selling the Bateau Bay Store (which had now been relocated to The Entrance) and maintain the two locations of Morisset and Toukley. The decision to focus on a more personal service was well received in both areas by catering to the needs of the of the individual areas.
In 2021, the TOUKLEY store finally decided it was time ‘hang up the boots’ and so, after more than 40 years in the Canton Beach Rd location, the TOUKLEY store was retired, with the MORISSET store continuing on making it 22 years in Morisset as of May 2026.
